Drink more water. Lots if it. Get yourself a liter bottle and fill it up 3 times a day
Eat more vegetables — stay away from those that are starchy like corn and white potatoes. Instead, choose from asparagus, squash, zucchini, all lettuces, spinach, celery, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes.... Salads are your friend.
Choose salad dressings that are low in sugar — nothing more than 4 grams. Paul Newman's line does a good job with this.
Focus on having lean protein at every meal.
Watch portion sizes for anything that isn't lean protein or vegetables.
Stay away from the sweet drinks — sorry this means those lemon drop martinis. Make friends with vodka sodas with a squeeze of lime. I also like vodka with diet sprite. However, watch alcohol intake overall.
